LiveWire recorded the original cast album for “The Promised Land” at the Young Centre in the Distillery District on July 24.      A series of songs to illustrate and amplify the writings of John Steinbeck, by a diverse group of songwriters: Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon and others.     It was LiveWire’s fourteenth cast recording for Soulpepper over the past five years.
