LiveWire was honoured to be chosen to record the audio for a live documentary with Gord Downie at Roy Thomson Hall on October 21. Gord appeared with members of Broken Social Scene and Barenaked Ladies to perform music from his Secret Path album, which is about the tragic death of Chanie Wenjack, a native Canadian who died of exposure while trying to walk 600km back to his home after leaving a residential school for aboriginal children in 1966, when he was only 12 years old. It was an incredibly moving evening, with participation from surviving members of Chanie’s family.
