Scratch one off the bucket list! LiveWire was honoured to record the audio for Toronto natives Rush for their R40 live dvd at the Air Canada Centre over two nights, June 17 and 19. The amazing 2 1/2 hour shows featured songs from across the band’s entire 40 year career, going backwards from their most current “Clockwork Angels” album and ending with “Working Man” from their 1974 debut. The show featured a lot of retro stage gear, finishing up with a pair of 1970’s vintage Traynor Amplifiers and a Slingerland drum kit. The concert recording was produced by David Bottrill (Tool, King Crimson, Peter Gabriel, Dream Theatre) for Fadoo Productions. Sixteen hi-def cameras were used.
