For the tenth consecutive year, LiveWire was at the Mississauga Living Arts Centre to record ten student choirs from various public schools in the Peel District School Board as part of the Literacy and Values Through Music and Art program. Toronto songwriter Gregg Lawless visits each class several times during the school year to do workshops on songwriting and performing, and the April concert is where the choirs showcase the songs they’ve written, backed up by some of Toronto’s top studio musicians. Each student will be given a dvd of the event as a souvenir.
