LiveWire will be bringing the 48 track tourpack to the Mississauga Living Arts Centre in April to record the tenth annual “Literacy Through Music” for the Peel District School Board. This concert features performances by classes from ten public schools in the Peel Region. Songwriter Gregg Lawless has been working with Grade 5 students from each school since the fall, helping each class write a song about values such as courtesy, bravery, anti-racism, anti-sexism and being truthful. The students will be backed up by Gregg’s band, which includes some of Toronto’s top session musicians. It’s always one of our favourite gigs each year.
